DWITE Contest

DDoSed

Sadly it seems some individual or group has nothing better to do then wreck the educational opportunities of other students by attacking the DWITE front end server during contests with DDoS attacks. Unfortunately there is not much we can do to prevent this type of attack beyond working with our data center to filter out all of the IP addresses being used in this type of attack and contacting the proper authorities with the information we have on the attackers.

We will keep the judge running for this round and try to keep things up but there may be long periods of down time which we deeply apologize for.

The 8th round for this school year will be canceled well we work on methods of preventing this type of attack for future DWITE seasons and possibly on upgrading our infrastructure to increase reliability.

Sorry for any inconvenience
